A complete grow kit is the simplest way to get a working set-up: a tent, lighting and ventilation chosen to work together. This guide covers how to pick the right size and what to look for.
Pick a tent size
Choose the footprint that fits the space you have and the number of plants you want to grow. Taller tents give you room for bigger plants and for lights to hang at a safe distance. Our complete grow kits are built around GorillaBox tents in these sizes:
- Kit 1: 100 x 100 x 200cm
- Kit 2: 120 x 120 x 200cm
- Kit 3: 100 x 200 x 200cm
- Kit 4: 120 x 240 x 200cm
Match your lighting
The kits offer a choice of lighting and fan options. The smaller tents are built around a single 600W digital light, while the larger 100 x 200cm and 120 x 240cm tents use two 600W lights. A dimmable ballast lets you reduce output when plants are young or the room is warm.
Plan your ventilation
Every tent needs air moving through it. The kits include an extraction fan sized for the tent, and you can add a carbon filter for odour control. See our guide to choosing an extraction fan and carbon filter for sizing advice.
Do not forget the extras
- Pots, media and nutrients for your chosen growing method
- A thermometer and hygrometer to track temperature and humidity
- A timer or controller for your lights
- A pH and EC meter to keep your feed on target
